2007 marks the 20th Anniversary of Radio New York International! Here is a "lost" gem that made it's way to us: Ivan Jefferies doing a late night show from 7-26-87. Randi Steele had been on earlier, and after midnight Allan decided to sign off the 1620 AM signal and test a back-up AM transmitter on 530 AM! Ivan is having a ball doing his thing on the high seas! Note: at the start of this tape, you can hear Allan and Ivan introducing reporter R.J. Smith of the Village Voice, whose decision to stay on board The Sarah for a few days ended up getting him arrested when the FCC ended the dream on the morning of July 28, 1987. (This aircheck graciously supplied by RNI listener Anthony Catalano) (mono - 1 hour, 30 minutes)
