Curl up to the PC speakers, crack open a couple of bottles of Merlot and heat up those Thanksgivng leftovers! It's the Thanksgiving show and your buddy Pete Sayek is happy to provide the snacking music (Part Two posted below).
The music and fun continues as I polish off another bottle of the grape (Part One posted above)!
2007 marks the 20th Anniversary of Radio New York International! To commemorate those five crazy days back in July of 1987, we present the final RNI transmission - Hank Hayes and Jim Nazium manning the helm for a six-hour test show that aired the evening of July 27, 1987. This is just a taste of what RNI could have been - fun, free-form entertainment, no formats, no constraints. Since this was a "test", we get a lot of music - but a lot of typical Hank and Jim insanity as well. Sadly, the dream would come to an abrupt end less than six hours later when the FCC would board The Sarah and shut RNI down for good (Part Two posted below). (stereo, unscoped - three hours)
Part Two of the final Radio New York International transmission. Hank and Jim continue to give a "taste" of what RNI would have been all about - radio without boundaries. Since this was just a "test", we get a lot of music - but also a lot of fun. Sadly, six hours after this show ended, the FCC would bring an end to the dream (Part One posted above). (stereo, unscoped - three hours)
